Equipment

  • Skillet or griddle for cooking patties
  • Cutting Board
  • Knife
  • Tongs or spatula for flipping patties
  • Paper towels (for draining excess oil)
  • Large plate for assembling wraps

Ingredients

  • 4 large flour tortillas or gluten-free wraps
  • 4 plant-based burger patties
  • 4 slices dairy-free cheese choose your favorite brand
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 medium tomato sliced
  • 1/4 red onion thinly sliced
  • Pickles optional
  • Ketchup and mustard optional

Instructions

  • Cook the patties: Start by heating a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Place the plant-based burger patties onto the skillet and cook according to the package instructions, usually around 4-5 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Melt the cheese: A minute before the patties are done, place a slice of dairy-free cheese on top of each patty and cover the pan with a lid to help the cheese melt.
  • Prepare the vegetables: While the patties are cooking, slice the tomato, onion, and any other toppings you’d like. Shred the lettuce and set everything aside.
  • Assemble the wraps: Lay a large flour tortilla flat on a clean surface. Once the patties are done, place one patty with melted cheese in the center of each wrap. Top with a handful of shredded lettuce, a couple of tomato slices, red onion, and pickles, if desired.
  • Add condiments: Drizzle ketchup and mustard on top for an extra burst of flavor. You can also add your favorite vegan sauce if preferred.
  • Wrap and serve: Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll it up tightly to encase all the delicious fillings. Repeat with the remaining tortillas and enjoy!

Notes

Use high-quality vegan cheese that melts well. Some cheeses are more suited for melting than others, so look for ones that specifically say "melts well" on the label.
Don't overstuff the wraps! It can be tempting to add lots of fillings, but too much can make them hard to wrap tightly. Keep it balanced for the best result.
Toast the wraps lightly in a dry pan after assembling. It gives them a crispy texture and helps hold everything in place.
