Sausage balls with Red Lobster biscuits offer unbeatable taste and easy prep for gatherings that impress every time

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground breakfast sausage (mild or spicy, based on preference)
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese (packed firmly but not compressed)
  • 2 cups all-purpose biscuit mix (like Bisquick)
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (freshly ground if possible)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground sausage, shredded cheddar, biscuit mix, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, and black pepper. Mix with your hands until just blended and sticky but firm enough to roll.
  • Roll the dough into 1 to 1.5-inch balls, roughly the size of a golf ball, ensuring uniform size for even baking.
  • Place the balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet about 1 inch apart. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown on top and fully cooked inside.
  • Let the sausage balls rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a cheesier top, sprinkle extra cheddar on the balls halfway through baking.
