Bang Bang Salmon

Bang Bang Salmon is a deliciously seasoned salmon dish topped with a sweet and spicy bang bang sauce. This recipe is perfect for those who love the unique flavor combination of bang bang sauce and are looking to try it on something other than shrimp. The salmon is brushed with the sauce before being baked and then topped with more sauce for an extra flavor kick.

Ingredients:

4 salmon filets (about 1½ pounds, skins on)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon kosher salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ cup mayonnaise
¼ cup Thai sweet chili sauce
1 teaspoon Sriracha (or more to taste)
1 tablespoon honey
Chives, chopped for garnish

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
Drizzle olive oil over the salmon on all sides and gently rub it in.
In a small bowl, combine paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle this seasoning mixture over the salmon filets.
In another small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, Thai sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, and honey. Divide the sauce in half.
Using half of the sauce, evenly brush it over the salmon filets. Place the salmon on the baking sheet, skin-side down, leaving space between each filet.
Bake the salmon for 8-10 minutes, or until cooked through. For a crispier filet, broil for 1-2 minutes.
Transfer the salmon to a plate and drizzle with the remaining sauce. Garnish with chives and serve warm with rice.

Additional Tips:

The salmon is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F or is slightly flaky with a fork.
You can also cook the salmon in an air fryer for a crispy texture.
Store any leftover salmon in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
Enjoy this Bang Bang Salmon as a flavorful and easy-to-make dish, perfect for a special dinner or a casual meal!
