Taco Ranch Bites are the perfect snack to satisfy your hunger with bold flavors and a crispy twist youll love to share

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20 for juiciness)
  • 1 packet taco seasoning mix (or homemade blend)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 20 mini phyllo or wonton wrappers
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup diced green onions
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Olive oil spray or melted butter, for brushing
  • Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare a mini muffin tin by spraying it lightly with olive oil or nonstick spray to keep the bites from sticking.
  • Place the beef in a skillet over medium heat and break it apart with a spatula. Once it starts browning, drain excess fat if necessary. Sprinkle the taco seasoning over the meat and pour in 1/2 cup water. Stir well and let simmer for about 5 minutes until the mixture thickens and coats the beef nicely.
  • Lay out the mini phyllo or wonton wrappers. Brush each gently with olive oil or melted butter to help them brown. Carefully press one wrapper into each cup of the muffin tin, forming a small cup shape.
  • Spoon about a tablespoon of the taco meat mixture into each wrapper cup. Top with a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese. Place the tin in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes until the wrappers are crisp and cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool for a couple of minutes. Dollop ranch dressing atop each bite, then sprinkle diced tomatoes, green onions, and cilantro.
  • Best enjoyed fresh out of the oven while the contrast between crunchy and creamy is at its peak.
  • Notes
